LXV

(Country/Rock Album)

DESCRIPTION

LXV—the Roman numeral for 65—is less a milestone than a meditation. In this reflective folk-rock collection, Bernard Ferrière turns toward the passage of time not with nostalgia alone, but with clarity, restraint, and a quiet sense of reckoning.

Acoustic textures ground the work, warm guitars, steady rhythms, while understated electric layers lend it a sense of movement, as though the past is never entirely still.

Rather than a celebration in the conventional sense, LXV explores what it means to arrive at 65 with memory intact and questions still open. The songs carry themes of endurance, identity, and acceptance, of learning which parts of oneself endure, and which must be let go. There is loss here, but also gratitude; reflection, but not regret.

At its core, LXV is about taking stock without closing the book. It honours a life not as a finished story, but as something still unfolding, measured not just by years but by the depth of experience carried forward.

“Music is an outburst of the soul.”
- Frederick Delius
